What is a Biography Text?
A biography is a detailed third person account of another person’s life story. It contains basic information about the subject’s life — like their place of birth, education, and interests. A biography may also chronicle relationships with family members, as well as major events in the subject’s childhood and how those influenced their upbringing. A biography details the various accomplishments and life events of a real person, but it’s more than facts and figures — it comes to life with great stories told from beginning to middle to end. social function of biography text is,

Purpose of BiographyText
The purpose of a biography is to share the life of another person with an audience. Biographical stories can be inspiring — highlighting the achievements of a particular figure, pointing out ways the subject overcame hardship — giving the readers a sense of encouragement.

Generic Structure of BiographyText
- Orientation (Introduction)
It is the opening paragraph, gives the readers the background information of the person. - Events
In events, should be in chronological order. - Re-Orientation (Closing)
It consists of a conclusion or comment or the writer. Tell about the achievement or the contribution of the person.
Charateristics of Biography Text
- Biography Is not written by subject and always written in third person.
- Based on research.
- Describes the person’s surroundings (where, when and how the person lived).
- Use vivid language to narrate events.
Grammar and Language Features
1. Simple Past Tense
Simple Past Tense is the main menu in making Biography Text. A simple form of an event that happened in the past. Use the second form of the verb (verb 2). Example:
- He is the son of Anne Cox (née Selley) and Desmond “Des” Styles, who worked in finance.
- Many of his ancestors were farm laborers in Norfolk.
- Styles was raised in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire after his parents moved there along with his older sister, Gemma, when he was a child.

Ki Hajar Dewantara
On May 2, 1889 Ki Hajar Dewantara born in Yogyakarta. The original name of Ki Hajar Dewantara is Raden Mas Soewardi Soeryaningrat. He comes from a family of Yogyakarta Kingdom. Raden Mas Soewardi Soeryaningrat, he was renamed Ki Hajar Dewantara when even 40 years old Caka year count did. Since that time, he was no longer using knighted before his name. Keshi
Keshi was born Casey Luong in Houston, Texas. When he was 13, he began learning guitar and first released bluesy and singer/songwriter-styled material under his own name. Keshi’s debut songs in 2017 broke through to millions of listeners, defined by melancholy melodies, lamenting lyrics of lost love, and shaky lo-fi hip hop rhythms. Millions of people have listened to songs like “Just Friends” and “As Long as It Takes You,” which led to more acoustic-guitar-based work like 2018’s The Reaper EP. With 2019’s four-song album Skeletons, Keshi’s music continued to evolve, taking on a more polished feel.
Keshi is a singer-songwriter from the United States. She has released three albums, Keshi in 2007, The Good Fight in 2009, and This Is Home in 2012.
